YOU ARE INVITED!
Come join us for the 2017 Ygnacio Valley Christian School’s Fitness Challenge Week October 23rd - 28th, 2017! The purpose of this event is to bring the community together in order to promote fitness for the whole family. Students, parents, grandparents, extended family and friends are all invited to participate in this full-family, full-fitness challenge week. All proceeds go toward supporting Christian families through the programs at YVCS.
During the month of October students will be setting goals in 5 fitness challenges and then training toward the challenges week during the following 3 weeks of physical education classes. The final student event will be a lap running challenge taking place the morning of Friday October 27th. The whole family is encouraged to attend this event to cheer on their students as they finish the 5th and final challenge of the week!
This event is open to any students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Homeschool families are invited to join in free of charge. See the details about how to get involved click here: Homeschool Families
Physical Education classes take place for all students Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the YVCS campus located at 4977 Concord Blvd Concord, CA 94521. Click here for schedule of class times associated with each grade level. Prizes will be awarded to each grade level, in each event with one all-around winner in each grade level.
For The Whole Family:
Starting at 9:00a.m. on Saturday October 28th, 2017, YVCS will be hosting a 5K COSTUME RUN for anyone and everyone to participate in. Contestants will include parents, students, grandparents, extended families and students participating in the fitness challenge run for free.
After the race we will have some incredible festivities at the FAMILY FUN FEST. This is not your average after-race fun fest. This will be an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a multitude of kid-friendly games, win cool prizes, eat some great food and listen to music from local artists! The Family Fun Fest will also be filled with many non-profits, businesses and organizations hosting activities and giving away freebies to all who attend. And it will of course provide the opportunity for parents to participate in the 5 fitness challenges the students completed during the week.
