YVCS is very purposeful in its offerings in both the classroom and in chapel. There are many ways to offer what is called a Christian education and some have more impact on lives. It is not sufficient to have Christians teach information to our children in a safe environment.

We believe that each staff member must have a vibrant personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We must actively integrate our beliefs and talents to teach our students to fully appreciate what God has provided for us in this world. We must actively live out this relationship in such a way that at every opportunity we clearly show the connection of Christ and the Bible to each subject. We believe that Christ is the Author of each subject that we study and the Bible reveals insight into those subjects.

Therefore, chapel at YVCS is unique and is held weekly when all the classes quietly file into the church auditorium/chapel to sing hymns, choruses and worship songs. Often Scripture passages are read aloud or in unison. It is the culmination of what had been taught all week as teachers or administrators present a challenge from God’s Word. We encourage and welcome parents to join us each week.
