Volunteer Work Day & Picnic Update

Dear YVCS Families:

We are just days away from the start of the 2016-2017 school year and tomorrow, Saturday August 27th is a great opportunity to support our school and earn volunteer hours credit towards the re-launch of our Parent Volunteer Program.  Tomorrow is a time for your whole family (including relatives) can join in on various projects to serve our school by raking leaves, pulling weeds, planting flowers, laying tan bark, painting and a great many other things to make our campus ready for the first day of school on Monday August 29th.  Our Chairman of the Board, Scott Gillespie will be leading the coordination of activities on the campus.

At NOON, the workday will conclude with a celebratory BBQ picnic lunch complete with music, games and catered with a sampling of food from our new hot lunch provider.  This is a great opportunity to meet other families, classmates, faculty and staff members in a non-formal setting.

Please bring your own repair tools, cleaning supplies, leaf blowers, ladders and lots of muscles.  Looking forward to seeing many of you there.

NOTE:  Praise the Lord!  The new asphalt sport court project launched by Concord Bible Church will be ready for our first day of school however, please make sure to not set foot on the asphalt as it still needs to cure completely.  Thank you in advance!
