Band is much loved at YVCS. Our students gain the fundamentals of music in our lower grades. This includes a recorder class that is offered in third grade. Our beginning band members usually start in fourth grade and progress all the way through intermediate and advanced band by eighth grade. There are opportunities along the way to play in smaller groups and even our after school Jazz Band.

We are pleased to offer several band concerts, some at the Regional Center for the Arts in downtown Walnut Creek. We understand that music stimulates the mind in a way nothing else can. A wide variety of music is used to spark the enthusiasm and excitement of our students. Did you know that music will be in heaven?
